Sony has expanded its Xperia portfolio with the unveiling of the new Xperia Miro. Running on the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, the Sony Xperia Miro is said to have deeper Facebook integration.
Sony had been teasing the new Xperia smartphone on its Facebook page for last few days. The company had put up a countdown clock with a fast forward button. When clicked, the clock took a few seconds off the time remaining, and once it hit zero – a new Xperia handset was to be unveiled.

The device has Sony’s custom Xperia Timescape UIwith Facebook software, which allows easy sharing and liking through the OS. The Xperia Miro also has a front-facing camera for video calling, DLNA streaming support and a “large battery” for “longer usage”.
Sony has also incorporated its xLOUD audio boosting technology, which is likely to improve audio performance. There's also unique illuminations for incoming messages and social updates. Sony is yet to reveal the rest of the specifications.

Pricing and availability for the new smartphone is also not known yet, though Sony has said that the device will available in multiple colours - black, black/pink, white, and white/gold variants.
