0 Facebook begins global roll-out of App Center

Facebook has opened its newly launched App Center to seven more countries including Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, U.K. and India. Users in these countries will see the App Center bookmark on the left navigation menu on Facebook.com and also on iOS and Android apps. The social networking company will be rolling out App Center to users in Brazil, France, Germany, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, and Turkey in the coming weeks.

The same Jeff Hann who amazed us all with his dazzling demonstration of multi-touch technology (at TED back in 2006) long before the iPad is now a Microsoft Employee. His company Perceptive Pixel Inc is being acquired by Microsoft. An announcement to this effect was made yesterday by Microsoft saying they “have entered into a definitive agreement under which Microsoft will acquire PPI, a recognized leader in research, development and production of large-scale, multi-touch display solutions.”

0 MTS launches new tariff plans for users in Maharashtra and Goa

MTS, telecom brand of Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL), has slashed its data tariff prices and introduced new tariff plans for its MBlaze customers in Maharashtra and Goa circles.
MTS, which boasts of over 16 million users across the country, has launched new data plans ranging from Rs. 96 to Rs. 1,499. The Rs. 96 traiff plan offers 1GB of data with validity of one day. The plan earlier offered 0.5 GB only. There is also a Rs. 248 pack, which offers 1GB of data, earlier it offered 350MB data.
