0 RIM to discontinue the 16GB BlackBerry PlayBook

Canada-based BlackBerry maker Research In Motion (RIM) has announced that it will discontinue the production of its 16GB variant of its tablet - the PlayBook.
The 16GB Playbook will be discontinued once currently available stock is depleted at retailers. Online shopping websites such as Flipkart and ebay.in still show the 16GB Playbook as an in stock item. The device is currently priced at Rs. 13,990. If you are interested, you can pick up one before the stock runs out.

0 HTC One S reportedly launching in India on June 15

HTC has already launched its One V and One X smartphones in India. But a mystery still prevails over the availability of the One S in India. Last we heard, rumours were suggesting the device will launch on June 8, but evidently that never happened. Now reports are that the device will launch in India on June 15. The online shopping website Infibeam, which is taking orders of the One S with an advance payment of Rs. 1,000, has listed release date as June 15, 2012.

0 Nokia 808 PureView launching in India on June 13

Nokia's much-hyped 41MP camera phone, 808 PureView, is reportedly launching in India on June 13. The device was previously rumoured to launch on June 6 after Nokia put up a countdown promo on its PureView website. The PureView is up for pre-orders at online shopping site, buytheprice, for Rs. 32,000. Nokia has also started taking pre-oreders for the device.

HTC has announced its first dual-SIM smartphone (GSM + GSM), the HTC Desire V. The device was announced in Ukraine for a July release, but is expected to hit Indian shores in the near future.
The HTC Desire V runs on Google’s latest operating system Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich straight out of the box. In terms of specifications under the hood, the device has a Qualcomm 1GHz Cortex-A5 processor, Adreno 200 graphics, 512 MB RAM, a 4-inch display with a resolution of 480x800 and a 5MP rear snapper but no front facing camera. For all the audio buffs, the device comes with Beats Audio (something that has become a standard with HTC smartphones).
