0 Tegra 3-based $200 Acer Iconia A110 tablet unveiled at Computex 2012

Windows 8 powered devices may be the highlight of Computex 2012 but there was one underdog unveiled at the event that caught everyone’s eye.
Christened the Acer Iconia A110, the Android 4.0 ICS-based  tablet boasts of some impressive specifications under the hood. The A110 has a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024x600, boasts of an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor under the hood, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage and HDMI out. The device also has a front facing camera but no rear facing snapper.

0 FujiFilm launches FinePix S2980 super-zoom in India

FujiFilm has announced the availability of the FinePix S2980, one of the three super-zooms announced back in March 2012.
The FInepix S2980 features a 14MP CCD sensor along with a Fujinon 15x optical zoom lens. The lens features a built in neutral density filter, a feature that helps shoot during the extremely bright mid-day situations. While the optical zoom and built in ND filters are starting to become common, Fuji’s camera employs a not-so-common method of stabilizing the lens and that is the sensor shift method.

Micromax has expanded its Supefone series with the launch of yet another Android-based budget smartphone, called “A52”. Powered by 1GHz processor, the Micromax A52 comes for Rs. 5,999.
The new Micromax A52 has a dual-SIM slot and comes with the company's voice recognition assistant, AISHA. The device runs on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread operating system and features a 3.2-inch multi-touch screen and a 2MP camera. It has 256MB RAM. For connectivity, the A52 supports 3G, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi. The device comes pre-loaded with Google Play store and various other applications. The A52 has a 1,280 mAh battery, which is rated to deliver 5 hours of talk time and 182 hours of standby time.

Motorola India has introduced two new Android-based smartphones, Defy XT and Defy Mini. The new Defy smartphones are water-resistant and dustproof. They also come with Corning Gorilla Glass and larger battery. The Defy XT has been priced at Rs. 16,190, whilst the Defy Mini will be available for Rs. 11,490.

American entrepreneur Sean Parker launched his latest project, “Airtime”, this week in New York. This project marks his reunion with Shawn Fanning. The duo, of Napster fame, has been creating and investing in various online start-ups individually since its shutdown, with varying degrees of success (Sean, of course, found a winner in Facebook).

Facebook has officially launched its App Center, featuring 600 social apps including Nike+ GPS, Ubisoft Ghost Recon Commander, Stitcher Radio, Draw Something, and Pinterest.
Facebook last month revealed its plans to launch its own app store to promote high-quality social apps that run on its platform. On Thursday at a press conference in San Francisco, Facebook provided a brief demo of the app store. The App Center will appear on the left hand navigation menu on users' Facebook landing pages.

Angry Birds Space, the latest iteration of popular Angry Birds franchise, has been downloaded over 100 million times since its launch in March, announced Rovio on its Twitter account.
Angry Birds Space had smashed 50 million downloads in just 35 days of availability. The latest Angry Birds game is available for major mobile platforms – iOS, Android and BlackBerry. The game is likely to arrive on Windows Phone soon.
