0 FBI's op on DNSChanger virus may knock thousands off Internet on Monday

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is on the final stage of its Operation Ghost Click, which strikes against the menace of the DNSChanger virus and trojan. Infected PCs running the DNSChanger malware at unawares are in the danger of going offline on this coming Monday (July 9) when the FBI plans to pull down the online servers that communicate with the virus on host computers.

0 Apple's iPhone 5 rumoured to run on Samsung's Exynos 4 processor

The Internet is abuzz with rumours that Apple's next flagship smartphone, dubbed as the iPhone 5, will be powered by a new A6 quad-core processor, based on Samsung's Exynos 4 architecture.
Citing unnamed industry sources, DigiTimes in its report says competition for quad-core smartphones will intensify in Q4 2012 with the upcoming iPhone and other models launching with quad-core chips. So far, only  HTC and Samsung have released their quad-core smartphones, with LG soon to join the list with the Optimus 4X HD.

0 Acer India to offer 2GB free cloud storage to laptop and PC buyers

Acer India recently announced its partnership with Vaulten, a cloud service provider, to offer free cloud storage of up to 2GB to its customers, on the purchase of certain Acer commercial and consumer desktop or notebooks.
For now, this offer is only valid on Acer's Veriton, TravelMate, Gateway and Aspire ranges. Acer and Vaulten also offer various subscription plans of up to 1TB for the customers, who wish to get the more space beyond 2GB, at an additional charge.

Nokia has announced the addition of a third phone to the Windows Phone series – the Lumia 610. This is the third Lumia phone to be launched in India as well, with Nokia saying that they are targeting the “youthful audience” with this device.
The Lumia 610 is powered by an 800MHz Snapdragon processor along an Adreno 200 GPU and 256MB of RAM. It also bears a 3.7-inch 800x480 pixel display, apart from a 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash, and 8GB built-in storage. The phone will come with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango out of the box, and will get the 7.8 update will be arriving on this phone soon.

0 Apple, Google remove Find and Call 'Trojan' app from stores

Apple and Google have pulled the Find and Call app from their app stores after it was revealed to be "harvesting" users' contacts and sending unsolicited texts.
According to Kaspersky Lab, the dubious app was first thought to be an SMS worm, but later was confirmed as Trojan. The software security firm says it had informed Google and Apple about the presence of malware in their app stores, which subsequently led to removal of the app.
