0 Microsoft introduces TypeScript, a superset of JavaScript

Microsoft has released a new development environment as TypeScript, which is said to help developers write more complex apps with the scripting language. The new programming language is translated into JavaScript so that it can support any browser. TypeScript is open source and its code source is licenced under Apache 2.0, which can be found on Codeplex.

0 1Gbps broadband speed plans coming soon for Indian users: Radius Infratel

Broadband users of nine Indian cities will be soon having access to ultra-fast download speeds up to 1Gbps, says telecom infrastructure firm Radius Infratel. The company expects the high speed broadband will be available for users by mid-2013.


"In the next 6-9 months, world class 1,000 Mbps or 1 Gbps (Gigabits per second) plans will be available in India to residential consumers. On connections like these, the same two hour HD movie will download in 30 seconds," Radius Infratel CEO Rajnish Wahi is quoted as saying. At average broadband speeds, the same content takes more than an hour for full download.

Kobian has introduced a new Android-based budget tablet in India, called Mercury mTab 7. Priced at Rs. 6,499, the Mercury mTab7 runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor.


The Mercury mTab7 also features 7-inch capacitive display, 0.3MP front facing camera, 512MB DDRM, 4GB internal storage and a microSD card slot that supports storage up to 32GB. For connectivity, the device supports 3G via dongle, HDMI, USB, and Wi-Fi.

It seems that in the last few years, Apple’s products have faced issues at launch, causing many to take up arms. After the iPhone 4’s antenna problem, the iPhone 4S’ yellow screen tint, it now seems that the iPhone 5 has also followed suite with its own unique problem.


This time, it’s the much coveted camera where the problem arises. Users have reported that in certain conditions, there seems to be a very strong purple tinge to the image. Of course, this only happens when a strong light source is present just outside the photographic frame and at an angle to the image.
