0 Yahoo falls prey to hackers; over 400,000 account leaked

Yahoo Inc. has said it is investigating reports of a security breach that saw nearly half a million users' e-mail addresses and passwords leaking to the Internet. The company, however, confirmed the compromised user information belongs to Yahoo Voices services, previously known as Associated Content. Hackers belonging to a group called 'D33Ds Company' have claimed responsibility of the security breach.

Google search had received a major upgrade in the form of Google Instant in 2010. The upgrade made it unnecessary for users to type out the entire query before seeking search results page. Now the feature is being rolled out as a standalone service for its advertisers, to be known as as 'Search As You Type'. The pilot is initially available in the U.S. and is likely to be available in others markets soon.
