0 Nokia unveils Asha 311, 305 and 306 touch phones

Nokia has announced three new Asha phones – Asha 305, Asha 306 and Asha 311 – with large touchscreens. Nokia says its new Asha phones, based on S40 operating system, will provide smartphone-like experience to consumers, who want to reduce data costs and larger battery life. The Nokia Asha 305 is expected to ship in the second quarter of 2012, while the Asha 306 and Asha 311 will arrive in the third quarter of 2012.

0 Google Maps gets updated, brings 3D maps to mobile devices

Google has updated its Maps feature across devices, making it more comprehensive, accurate, and usable. It has also enhanced its off-road feature, Street View Trekker, giving users visual access to even more remote locations, where wheels simply can’t take you. The biggest new feature however, is the addition of 3D models to metropolitan area on Google Earth, for mobile devices.

0 Delhi HC issues notices to Google, Facebook

Looks like there is more court trouble for Internet companies in India. Delhi High Court has issued notices to Facebook India and Google India after a petition filed by the ex-Bhartiya Janata Party leader, K.N.
Govindacharya, who accused the two websites of tax evasion, using users' data for commercial purposes, and not verifying users details. The former BJP leader also slammed Centre for not taking action against the Internet companies. The court has asked the companies to respond to the notice within four weeks.

Notorious hacker group, Anonymous, has intensified its battle against the Indian government over the web censorship issue and taken down the website of state-run telecom company MTNL. The hacker group is now aiming to target Airtel and Reliance. The attack comes days before its June 9 'Occupy' protests.

0 LinkedIn confirms data breach, asks users to reset passwords

Bad news for LinkedIn users. Hackers have managed to gain access to more than six million LinkedIn passwords, and have leaked them to the Internet.

Acknowledging the security breach, LinkedIn said that affected users will be notified via an e-mail with instructions on how to reset their passwords. The current passwords won't work. Also, the affected members will get another mail from LinkedIn's Customer Support team, which will provide more information on the situation and why users have been asked to change their passwords.

Toshiba India has launched four new laptops in the country, apart from a new ultrabook, all part of the Satellite Series, and powered by 3rd Generation Intel Core processors (Ivy Bridge).

These are namely C Series (C840 & C850) laptops, L Series (L850) laptop, M Series (M840) laptop, and the new Satellite U840 ultrabook. According to Toshiba, the new range of laptops offer outstanding performance, superior HD entertainment and contemporary styling. All five devices will be hit retail shelves in India by the 3rd week of June.

According to Twitter CEO Dick Costolo, the micro-blogging site sends more than 400 million tweets every day! Costolo also revealed that both mobile usage and revenue were surpassing desktops.

In an interview at the Economist's Ideas Economy: Information 2012 conference, Costolo said that majority of Twitter users accessed the website via mobile, and were far more active than desktop users. Explaining why Twitter is more successful on mobile, the CEO said,

Dell has unveiled the latest versions of the Inspiron R and Inspiron R Special Edition laptops in India, powered by 3rd Generation Intel Core processors.

The Inspiron 14R and Inspiron 15R will be available in three colours, and in two options – either Core i5 or Core i7 Ivy Bridge processors. The memory options will start from 2GB and go up all the way to 8GB.
