0 Samsung to launch phones running new Tizen mobile OS

Samsung has announced their intention of launching multiple handsets in 2013 powered by the new Tizen mobile OS.

In a statement issued to Bloomberg, the Korea based phone maker said, “We plan to release new, competitive Tizen devices within this year and will keep expanding the line-up depending on market conditions.”

Tizen is a Linux-based open-source operating system that can be used to power mobile phones and other devices such as smart TVs and in-vehicle entertainment systems.

Samsung has officially announced its next NX-series of mirrorless camera - the NX300 which is a 3D-capable successor of the NX210.

Alongwith this mirrorless camera, Samsung has also announced a 3D lens which is supposedly the world’s first one-lens 3D system.

The NX300 will not sport an Android 4.1 operating system like the Galaxy Camera.
