0 Approx 2 crore mobile net users reduce newspaper, TV time by half Says Study

The increasing popularity of smartphones and Internet-enabled feature phones has now started to give serious competition to the traditional sources of entertainment – TVs and newspapers, says a study conducted by online audience and ad measurement platform ViziSense.



The report reveals about 2 crore of the estimated 4.8 crore mobile Internet users in the country have shifted 50 percent of their newspaper and TV time to their mobile phones, and what's being consumed is – entertainment, including all categories of news, travel and sports.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has denied rumours that the company is working with HTC to produce self-branded smartphone with an exclusive operating system.



At the company's first-ever earnings call, Zuckerberg said that “it would not really make much sense” to build a Facebook phone. He further pointed out that Facebook is most used app on all platforms, therefore every phone out there is a Facebook phone.

0 Facebook-HTC phone rumoured to launch in 2013

Rumours of a Facebook phone will not just die. According to a report from Bloomberg, Facebook has partnered with HTC to produce a self-branded phone that would launch in mid-2013.



The Bloomberg report quoting people knowledge of the matter claims the companies were working to release the device by end of this year but then pushed back the deadline to give more time to HTC to work on other devices. Facebook is reportedly working on a customised operating system for the device and has engaged a team of ex-Apple programmers to improve its iPhone app.

The battlegrounds tournament is tiered to cater for both elite gamers and game enthusiasts and will include DOTA 2, League of Legends and Team Fortress 2 in India. All games have an online Open League category, with DOTA 2 divided into a special invitational online Elite League as well as an Open League.

Google Search has long featured a built-in calculator function but with a recent update users can now access a full-fledged 34-button scientific calculator.

Earlier, Google Search simply displayed an equation results when any user entered any query such as 2+2. The new scientific calculator appears as you type a search query involving any equation or simply typing 'calculator' without navigating away from the main site.
